California RV Specialists has developed three proven 30-amp towable solar system examples designed for RV owners wanting reliable off-grid capability for fifth wheels, travel trailers, and truck campers.
These examples are based on real world energy demands — not basic catalog estimates — and they serve as strong starting points for most towable RV applications running on 30A service.
Whether you need light solar support, weekend boondocking power, or a full lithium / inverter combination for extended off-grid living — we can design the system that fits your needs.
Each package can be customized based on battery type, inverter requirements, roof space, power consumption needs, and your personal camping style.
These packages are fully customizable — or we can engineer a completely custom energy system built for your specific RV.
All systems provide plenty of energy to run normal 12V DC electronics suck as (lights, vent fans, USB outlets, etc.) and small 120V AC electronics (phones, laptops, TVs, etc.) for a very long time, as well as moderate use of larger appliances (air conditioners, microwaves, hair dryers, etc.). The larger your system’s battery bank, the more power you’ll have to use. The more solar you have, the faster you can recharge your battery bank.

We custom design comprehensive solar systems for our clients. There are many options depending on your application. All installation will come with a custom system schematic, parts list, installation notes and pictures of installation.
*Price is for a typical installation: It’s rare, however some RV’s require additional customization, wire, and/or labor. If additional parts and/or labor are needed we will notify the customer as soon as we know.
