Scheduling RV Service

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. We recommend scheduling an appointment before bringing your RV to our facility.

Because RV repairs vary considerably in scope, parts requirements, and shop time, scheduling allows our team to plan appropriately for your RV and requested services.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can request an appointment through our website or contact our service department at:

Phone: (209) 263-7040
Email: service@calrvspecialists.com

When contacting us, please provide your RV’s year, manufacturer, model, VIN, and a description of the services or concerns you would like us to address.

Pictures can also be very helpful.

Can I just stop by with my RV?

Please contact us before bringing your RV to the facility.

Our parking, shop space, and appointment schedule are limited, and we may not be able to accommodate unscheduled RV arrivals.

Can I wait while my RV is being repaired?

Our facility is not set up as a customer waiting facility for RV repairs.

For safety and insurance reasons, customers cannot remain inside their RV while technicians are performing service or repairs.

Do you work on all RV manufacturers?

Estimates, Diagnostics & Repair Authorization

Can you give me a repair price over the phone?

Sometimes we can provide general pricing for established maintenance services or installations.

However, many RV problems require inspection or diagnosis before an accurate repair estimate can be provided.

RV construction, accessibility, previous repairs, concealed damage, and parts requirements can significantly affect repair costs.

Do you charge for diagnostics and inspections?

Diagnostic and inspection charges depend on the service requested.

Some services have established pricing, while others are billed according to the time required to inspect, diagnose, or evaluate the concern.

Our service team can explain the applicable charges when scheduling your appointment.

Will you contact me before performing additional repairs?

When technicians discover additional conditions that materially change the authorized repair scope or cost, our service team will contact you to discuss the findings and obtain authorization before proceeding with additional work requiring approval.

What happens if you find additional damage after taking something apart?

RV damage is sometimes concealed behind walls, flooring, roofs, underbellies, cabinetry, appliances, or other components.

When additional damage is discovered during disassembly, we will document the findings and discuss the available options with you when additional authorization is required.

Parts & Customer-Supplied Parts

Can I bring my own parts for you to install?

No. California RV Specialists does not install customer-supplied parts.

We source the parts and materials used for repairs and installations performed by our facility.

This helps us verify compatibility, quality, availability, and warranty considerations associated with the work we perform.

Do you sell RV parts and accessories?

Yes. California RV Specialists has a brick-and-mortar RV parts and accessories store at our Lodi facility.

Customers are welcome to visit our parts department during normal business hours.

Do I need a service appointment to purchase parts?

No. An RV service appointment is not required to visit our parts department.

Manufacturer Warranty Repairs

Do you perform RV manufacturer warranty repairs?

California RV Specialists provides limited manufacturer warranty assistance for select RV manufacturers and repairs.

As an independent RV repair facility, we do not operate as a full-service warranty dealership for every manufacturer.

Warranty service availability depends on the manufacturer, repair, authorization requirements, parts availability, and our current shop capabilities.

I just purchased a new RV and have a long warranty list. Can you handle everything?

For new RVs going through their initial shakedown period with numerous warranty concerns, we generally recommend contacting the selling dealership or another authorized dealership for that manufacturer.

Large warranty lists can require extensive administrative work, manufacturer approvals, parts ordering, inspections, and multiple return visits.

California RV Specialists primarily assists with select warranty repairs that fit within our capabilities and service structure.

Do you perform RV recalls and manufacturer campaigns?

We perform select manufacturer recalls and service campaigns when authorized and when the repair falls within our capabilities.

Contact us with your RV information and recall or campaign information so we can determine whether we can assist.

Insurance & Extended Warranty Repairs

Do you perform RV insurance repairs?

Yes. California RV Specialists performs select RV insurance repairs depending on the type and extent of damage.

Please contact us with information about the claim and pictures of the damage so we can determine whether the repair falls within our scope of service.

Do you work with RV extended warranty or service contract companies?

We may assist with select extended warranty or service contract claims.

Coverage, authorization procedures, diagnostic requirements, labor allowances, parts coverage, deductibles, and other requirements are determined by the individual contract provider.

Customers remain responsible for charges not covered or authorized by their provider.

Do you offer RV inspections?

Yes. California RV Specialists offers several inspection services, including:

  • RV Annual Inspections

  • Select Warranty Inspections
  • RV Walk-Throughs & Orientations

Visit our RV Inspections section to learn more about each service.

Do you perform RV pre-purchase inspections?

Yes. A pre-purchase inspection can help identify visible conditions and concerns before purchasing an RV.

An inspection does not guarantee that an RV is free from defects or concealed problems, but it can provide valuable information before making a purchase decision.

Truck, Jeep & Tow Vehicle Accessories

Do you work on trucks and Jeeps?

Yes. California RV Specialists provides select accessory installation and upgrades for trucks, Jeeps, and tow vehicles.

Services may include hitches and towing equipment, suspension upgrades, air spring systems, winches, running boards and steps, tonneau covers, brake controllers, towing electrical and wiring, cameras, lighting, and other truck and towing accessories.

When can I pick up my RV?

Customer pickups are generally scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, unless other arrangements have been made.

How soon do I need to pick up my RV after repairs are completed?

Please contact our office for current accepted payment methods and payment policies.

Credit card transactions may be subject to applicable processing fees.
