MORryde CRE3000 Suspension Installation & Upgrades

Improve Your RV’s Ride Quality, Suspension Performance, and Towing Experience

Your travel trailer or fifth wheel suspension takes a beating every time you hit the road. From rough highways and potholes to uneven campground roads, your RV’s suspension absorbs constant movement and stress.

At California RV Specialists, we specialize in RV suspension inspections, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. One of the popular suspension upgrades we install is the MORryde CRE3000 Rubber Equalizer Suspension System.

If you’re looking to improve your RV’s ride quality and reduce some of the harsh impacts transferred through your trailer, the MORryde CRE3000 may be an excellent upgrade to consider.

What Is the MORryde CRE3000 Suspension System?

The MORryde CRE3000 is a rubber equalizer suspension upgrade designed for compatible tandem-axle travel trailers and fifth wheels.

Unlike traditional steel equalizers that primarily pivot to distribute suspension movement between the axles, the CRE3000 incorporates a rubber shear spring to help absorb road shock and vibration.

The system is designed to provide approximately 3 inches of suspension travel at the equalizer, helping reduce the harshness of bumps and uneven road surfaces.

Benefits of the MORryde CRE3000

  • Improved ride quality: Helps absorb road shock and vibration before it transfers throughout the RV.
  • Reduced suspension harshness: The rubber equalizer provides additional cushioning compared with a conventional rigid equalizer.
  • Less vibration: Can help reduce vibration transferred into the trailer and its contents.
  • Improved suspension movement: Allows the equalizer to respond to changing road conditions.
  • Compatible upgrade options: Can be combined with appropriate heavy-duty shackle kits and other compatible suspension components.

While the CRE3000 can improve ride comfort, it does not increase your RV’s axle ratings, GVWR, or cargo-carrying capacity.

Why Professional Installation Matters

Installing a MORryde CRE3000 involves more than simply removing the old equalizers and installing new ones.

At California RV Specialists, our technicians evaluate the existing suspension system before recommending an upgrade.

We inspect important components such as:

  • Leaf springs and spring eyes
  • Suspension hangers and accessible welds
  • Equalizers and mounting hardware
  • Shackle links and bushings
  • Suspension bolts and related components
  • Visible signs of abnormal wear or damage

Proper fitment, installation, and fastener torque are essential. The suspension must be evaluated for compatibility with the MORryde system, and installation should follow the manufacturer’s specifications.

Consider Upgrading Your Shackles and Bushings

When installing the MORryde CRE3000, we often recommend evaluating the condition of the existing shackle links, bolts, and bushings.

Many factory suspension systems use lightweight shackle links and standard bushings that can wear over time.

Depending on your RV’s configuration, a compatible heavy-duty shackle kit with upgraded bushings and wet bolts may be a worthwhile addition.

We can also discuss other compatible suspension improvements, including the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember, when appropriate for your trailer.

These upgrades address different parts of the suspension system and should be selected based on the RV’s design and condition.

Don’t Overlook Routine Suspension Inspections

Even with upgraded suspension components, regular inspections remain important.

At California RV Specialists, we encourage RV owners to have their suspension inspected during routine wheel bearing and brake maintenance.

For traditional serviceable wheel bearings, our general recommendation is every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, unless the component manufacturer specifies a different interval.

During these services, we can inspect accessible suspension components for signs of wear, cracking, loose hardware, or other concerns.

The CRE3000’s rubber shear spring should also be inspected periodically for damage or deterioration according to MORryde’s recommendations.
