If you own a 2022 or 2023 Grand Design Momentum, Solitude, Reflection, Imagine, or Transcend, your RV may be affected. Additionally, this pertains to NHTSA 22V-603, involving certain Lippert Solera awnings.

What Is the Problem?
The recall involves the welded seam where the awning fabric attaches at the RV sidewall on certain Lippert Solera awnings up to 18 feet in length.
The welded seam may separate. In more serious cases, the awning fabric could detach from the vehicle rail while remaining attached to the awning assembly, potentially allowing the awning to drop or extend beyond its normal operating position.
Because an unexpected awning deployment or separation could create a safety hazard, affected RVs should have the recall addressed.
Which Grand Design RVs May Be Affected?
The recall includes certain 2022 and 2023 Grand Design fifth wheels and travel trailers manufactured between February 7, 2022 and July 12, 2022, including:
- Grand Design Momentum
- Grand Design Solitude
- Grand Design Reflection
- Grand Design Imagine
- Grand Design Transcend
