Anytime you hook up your towable trailer and hit the road, you put a lot of faith in your wheel bearings, brakes, and overall suspension. When any of these items stop working, it can end your adventure fast.
Brakes and wheel bearings should be inspected every 12 months or every 12,000 miles, whatever comes first.

We recommend to be on the safe side to have our RV Multi Point Inspection performed at least every 12-24 month. We want you to think of this like going to the DR for a physical. This always us to know what is going on with your unit so we can relay that information with you. Above only lists some basic bullet points, there is too many items and differences between units to cover all of them.
End result to protect you and your unit when traveling!
Accessories & Upgrades
Each month we will be explaining some details and reasons why we like these accessories and upgrades.

This system improves your stock fifth wheel or travel trailer suspension. Thus, creating an independent axle suspension.
- Improves handling.
- Improves your trailer life.
- Chucking.
- Axle roll-up.
- Suspension rebound.
Conventional RV suspension has 10 of the 14 moving parts. With Roadmaster we will be reducing that to four parts that are lubricated with bushings.
Enjoy the benefits lifetime warranty on parts, this will help extended tire life by 25 percent, you can expect up to a 50 percent reduction in induced road energy transmission into your RV — over cobblestones, a 76 percent reduction, and over gravel roads, an 94 percent reduction! This helps to protect from driving a earthquake down the road!

We have all been there backup something and can’t see where we are going. Maybe the person helping is not assisting you the best and is paying attention to both sides.
The stress of backing a unit up, worried about hitting something or causing damage at a campground is over. The Furrion backup camera can have up to four cameras, two clearance lights side views, rear view, you can add the forth inside for toy-haulers or use to see inside or even at the entry door.
This system is installed on about 90 percent of the units in the market today. If you already have this unit your able to add the additional cameras for sides.
In The RV Shop with Dustin

Dustin was out doing some exterior evaluation today we found a bunch of things on the lot.
Found the following safety issues.
- – Broken leaf spring on a unit that was in for a furnace diagnosis. (Wreck or unit loss)
- – Found LP gas leak on pigtail connection. (Fire or damage)
- – Cracked fender skirts due to broken fender skirts hangers. (Come loose in travel and hit a car or cause a wreck)
- – Tear in roof due to impact damage. (Water damage)
- – Front leveling jack leaking. (Leveling jack failure, drop on truck)
- – Slide out leaking due to failed eternabond tape. (Water damage slide out)
- – 7 way power cord broken free from j box and pinched brake-a-way wires. (Short in lights, braking and possible fire)
- – Sewer drain valve leaking out of cap. (Sewer leaking while driving or mess when you open.)
- – Cracked skylight with eternabond tape. (Could cause water damage and dry rot)
- – Wrong size and kind of battery’s, two different group size.
- – Three main awning letting loose from side wall moldings.
These were all different units and each unit had 10-25 issues. Think this was from a total of 8 units I looked at today, while doing a free inspection.
None of these items would have been addressed, if it wasn’t for us taking the time to offer a free inspection.

Products

Did you know that Camco Manufacturing makes a TPO deep cleaner for your RV roof membrane?
Pro-Tec Cleaner for Specially Formatted for TPO Deep Cleaning Formula Rids Dirt and Grime and Helps to Extend The Life of Your RV’s Roof.
How often should be cleaning the membrane surface and sealants?
Depending on your location and how you store the unit it’s recommended at least 1-3 times a year.
Remember that RV roof requires more work then your residential property. Don’t wait to find a leak inside, be proactive and mindful about the consequences.

Everyone knows the harmful effects of UV rays on the skin, but not many people realize sunlight is causing damage and is degrading your recreational vehicle.
When you love something, it shows. That’s why California RV Specialists recommends that you use 303 UV treatment on all items on the roof: you can apply it to the roof AC covers, vent lids, vent lid seals, vent covers, skylights, tv antennas domes, satellites domes, awning motor covers, awning fabrics, slide out topper fabrics, plumbing vents, attic vents, rain gutters, and insert moldings, and more.
Other areas on the RV that we recommend is the slide out corner caps, molding transitions and corners, light lens, refrigerator exterior covers, stove vents, decals and compartment door seals, fender skirts and anything else’s that’s vinyl, plastic or rubber.
By using these products it will help preserve the color and protect the plastic from sun damage.
