What is the average life expectancy of a rubber roof?
EPDM Rubber – Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer – a rubber-like black membrane, usually non-reinforced. Most common application method is a fully adhered (glued down) membrane with glued seams / flashings. Material Warranty Period: Up to 40 years. EPDM roof system life expectancy 22-35 years.
In most cases we see EPDM rubber roofing last roughly 10 years. With the right maintenance it should last 22-35 years. This means it needs to be cleaned with the proper soap and UV treated every year. This is why we offer “Free Roof Inspections” we would rather you spend your hard earned money on upgrades and traveling with the family then costly repairs on your RV.
