Important Service Clarification – Chassis vs. RV Systems
To ensure clarity and proper care of your motorhome:
What California RV Specialists DOES Service
- RV house systems (12V/120V electrical, solar, batteries)
- Plumbing and water systems
- Appliances and HVAC (RV-side components)
- Roof systems, seals, vents, and accessories
- Slide-outs, leveling systems, awnings, and toppers
- RV accessories and select non-powertrain chassis accessories
- Manufacturer RV warranty and recall work (house systems)
What We DO NOT Service
- Engine, transmission, drivetrain, or chassis mechanical repairs
- Factory chassis maintenance for:
- Ford powertrain systems
- Mercedes-Benz powertrain systems
For engine, transmission, driveline, or factory chassis diagnostics and maintenance, owners will be referred to the appropriate Ford or Mercedes-Benz authorized service center. This ensures your motorhome receives manufacturer-certified service for those systems.
Lineage Series Platforms We Support (RV Systems)
Lineage Series M – Class C
Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 chassis, the Series M blends maneuverability with residential comfort.
We support service for RV systems such as:
- Solar and lithium battery systems (600W solar standard)
- Interior electrical and lighting
- Plumbing systems (including SharkBite plumbing)
- RV appliances and refrigeration
- Ducted A/C and interior climate systems
- Roof components, vents, and seals
Chassis engine and transmission service is handled by Mercedes-Benz service centers.
Lineage Series F – Super C
Built on the Ford F-600 4×4 chassis, the Series F is designed for heavy-duty travel and towing.
Our RV-focused support includes:
- Interior and exterior RV electrical systems
- Solar and battery infrastructure
- RV-side suspension accessories and components
- Roof systems, awnings, and exterior accessories
- Interior systems and fit-and-finish items
All engine, transmission, and Ford chassis mechanical service is referred to Ford-authorized facilities.
Lineage Series VT – Adventure Van
The Series VT is an RVIA-certified adventure van built on the AWD Ford Transit chassis, optimized for off-grid use.
We support RV systems including:
- High-capacity lithium battery banks
- Solar charging systems
- RV HVAC and climate components
- Water systems, showers, and plumbing
- Interior modules and pop-top roof systems (where equipped)
Ford Transit engine and drivetrain service is handled by Ford service centers.
Grand Design Warranty & Recall Support (RV Systems)
California RV Specialists is accepting Grand Design manufacturer warranty and recall work related to RV house systems on Lineage motorized units. We work directly with the factory to ensure proper documentation, inspections, and repair procedures.
As an independent shop, our priority is quality workmanship and long-term ownership support, not high-volume dealership turnover.
