Safety Recall # 25V-061
On certain model year 2019 – 2024 Solitude Fifth Wheels manufactured between June 1, 2018 to August 16, 2023. On affected vehicles, the interior step treads are laminated material and can break while in use, increasing the risk of fall and injury.
On affected vehicles, we have reinforced the step tread with a bracket under the free edge of the tread.
Customer Satisfaction Program # 910019
In April 2020, Grand Design released the above referenced program as they became aware that some owners that had concerns with discoloration and/or surface damage to the wallboard material located directly behind their convection microwave, visible only after the appliance has been lowered or removed. Grand Design confirmed that this condition can occur over time with frequent high temperature use of the convection feature. Extensive testing concluded that the discoloration and surface damage was cosmetic in nature and there is no possibility of a thermal event or threat to safety.
On vehicles equipped with a convection microwave, Grand Design authorized installation of a protective heat shield that is installed to the wallboard directly behind the convection microwave. This heat shield eliminates the potential for discoloration and/or damage to the wallboard surface from repeated high-temperature use of the convection feature.
Safety Recall # 25V-523
On select 2017-2021 Solitude Fifth-Wheel Trailers manufactured between August 18, 2016 and July 30, 2020, the rubber LP gas supply line which passes through the refrigerator compartment may come in contact with the refrigerator cooling unit burner tube on certain gas absorption refrigerators. If this were to occur, the heat from the refrigerator burner tube could damage the LP gas line and result in a potential LP gas leak and subsequent fire.
On affected vehicles, we will access the rubber LP line behind the lower exterior refrigerator vent. Thermal foil heat barrier material will be wrapped around the LP hose in the vicinity of the burner tube location and the LP supply line will be secured with P-clamps to the wall keeping the line away from the refrigerator burner tube.
