Not all Grand Design RVs are affected.

What Inspections & Repairs Are Involved? (High-Level Overview)
While the exact scope of work depends on the individual unit, CSP 920015 generally focuses on frame inspection and reinforcement near the axle and spring hanger areas.
Inspection Overview
- Visual inspection of both door-side and off-door-side main frame rails
- Focus on axle hanger and suspension mounting areas
- Identification of any cracks or structural concerns
Repair Basics (Simplified for Owners)
Section One – Reinforcing the Frame (Mandatory on All Units)
- Installation of reinforcing bracing material near spring axle hangers
- Reinforcement is applied whether or not cracks are present
- Designed to improve long-term frame strength in high-load areas
Section Two – Crack Repair (If Cracks Are Found)
If cracks are identified in the main frame rails, Grand Design specifies approved repair methods, which may include:
- Grinding and cleaning the cracked area for proper weld penetration
- Welding the crack to restore structural integrity
- Installing additional reinforcement angles or steel tubing, depending on crack location
- Proper welding, cooling, finishing, and corrosion protection
- Reassembly and verification that the frame meets manufacturer specifications
